The conventional 12V Yuasa battery SYB14L-A2 has a starting current of 175A and a capacity of 14Ah. This battery is exactly the same as the YB14L-A2. The difference is that this SYB14L-A2 has a sensor for measuring the acid level. A conventional battery should always be filled with battery acid first, 0.9L of acid is required for this battery. The battery acid is not supplied with the battery. Be careful with the acidification of the Yuasa battery. Battery acid is a dangerous product. The liquid can cause injuries. Therefore always protect your eyes and skin! Once the battery has been filled with battery acid, it should rest for a while. Charge it completely after about half an hour with a suitable trickle charger. A battery to which insufficient attention has been paid during commissioning has a much shorter lifespan. A battery that has reached the end of its life will cause problems with starting the motorcycle. In addition, electrical and especially electronic parts are very sensitive to a malfunctioning battery. It may therefore be that your engine does not run smoothly due to a battery that is defective or nearly defective. If you think you will not use your motorcycle for a longer period of time, such as during the winter break, charge it throughout the winter with a trickle charger. The charger keeps the battery fit by discharging it slightly and then recharging it through a cycle determined by the manufacturer. The costs for power & charger are considerably lower than a new battery!
