USED, SECOND-HAND Suzuki TL 1000 S 1997-2001 (TL1000S) Throttle Body Assy

The throttle body is located between the engine and the air filter and controls the amount of incoming air. In addition to fuel, air is also needed during the combustion process. This air is first purified by an air filter before it reaches the cylinders. But the air flow is not constant. The throttle body is connected by cables to the throttle handle and, depending on how much throttle is being applied, the air is controlled by the throttle valve that spins in the throttle body. The more gas, the more air, the more powerful the combustion and the more power. Depending on the type of motorcycle, the engine can have one throttle body or several for better throttle response and airflow. Often the position of the valves is tracked by a throttle position sensor (TPS). This sends a signal to the ECU so that the amount of fuel through the injectors can be adjusted for the optimal air-fuel mixture.
