Full description

Spark plug DCPR7EIX is made by NGK and features an iridium alloy on the center electrode. The spark plug has a thread diameter of 12 mm, a thread length of 19 mm and a heat rating of 7. NGK has made a name for itself in the field of the ignition system. For years they have been producing different types of spark plugs of high quality and invest a lot of time and research to improve the quality even further. Many engines are already equipped with NGK spark plugs. More than 1000 different spark plugs have now been released for different purposes. You can't get an engine running without the spark plugs. They play an important role in the combustion process. Sparks are generated after high voltage from the ignition coil. This spark ignites the air-fuel mixture which in turn ensures a smooth running engine. It is crucial that the spark plugs are of good quality. If the timing is already slightly off or the temperatures are too low or too high, this is already causing problems for the engine. Over time, the spark plugs wear out. There is no mileage attached to it, although most spark plugs have a maximum number of kilometers as a guideline. It is a good idea to check the condition of the spark plugs if you notice problems starting or if the engine is not running smoothly, possibly accompanied by noise or abnormal smoke. For improved performance and longer life, you can replace the stock spark plug with an Iridium IX spark plug. This precious metal has a high melting point which makes the spark plug erosion resistant. The thinner iridium electrode also requires a lower ignition voltage, which in turn has additional advantages, such as a smoother running of the engine, lower fuel consumption and no carbon deposits.
