Full description

This AFAM chain kit for the Honda XL600V Transalp, for the model years 1989 to 2000, is a complete set with a high quality chain with rivet link and the standard sprocket ratio: namely a 15-tooth front sprocket and a 47-tooth rear sprocket. The chain size is 525 and has a Hollow Pin rivet link. The hollow pin makes this chain easy to rivet with the Easy Riv-5 chain tool. AFAM has been developing and producing since 1978 and to date only with increasing specialization. Through the knowledge gained in "road", "off-road" and "circuits", they have developed a know-how to ensure the production of high quality sprockets and chains. A high-quality chain with premium front and rear sprockets in a set ensures a longer life for any motorcycle. This AFAM chain set comes with a custom connecting link that adapts to the application and strength of your motorcycle. With high quality motocross chains they use "clip" connecting links. The connecting link does not deviate from the other links of the chain. This has been thought through in detail. To extend the life of the chain, you should lubricate it regularly. It should never run dry, so to speak. Under dry normal driving conditions it is recommended to lubricate it after 500 to 600 km. Before replacing the chain, check and, if necessary, replace the chain guides, wheel bearings, bearing of the output shaft at the front sprocket and the silent blocks. There should be no contact between the chain and metal parts of your motorcycle, except for the sprockets. If the chain can come into contact with other metal parts, it can result in chain breakage.
