The front wheel is an important part of the motorcycle and is attached to the front fork by means of an axle. This wheel is the most important of both wheels, because it can be steered. The front wheel contributes to how the motorcycle moves and brakes. It has to endure a lot while driving: it has to keep grip on the road, it has to remain stable, absorbs a lot of blows and also during acceleration and braking a lot is required. As with the rear wheel, the front wheel is equipped with important brake components to come to a standstill through friction. The front brake is the most important, so unlike the rear, there can be a brake disc on both sides. There is also a front mudguard mounted on the wheel to prevent splashing dirt and water. The size of the front wheel is indicated on the wheel itself.
