The Brake Master Cylinder Rear is part of the braking system and activates the rear brake. Brake fluid is pushed from the reservoir through the brake lines to the caliper by means of a piston. The fluid then presses against the pistons in the caliper which in turn presses the brake pads against the brake disc. When braking is no longer required, the pressure drops and the fluid flows back into the reservoir. The amount of force applied to the rear brake corresponds to a certain pressure on the brake fluid and this in turn affects braking behavior. The brake master cylinder including reservoir can be found in our webshop. In some cases the master cylinder can be purchased separately. Make sure you have the correct diameter for optimal braking performance. The diameter can be indicated on the master cylinder in inches or mm.
