The Brake Master Cylinder Front is part of the braking system and is the first step to start the braking process. After the brake lever is pressed, the brake fluid is pushed by means of a piston from the reservoir through the brake lines to the caliper. The fluid then presses against the pistons in the caliper which in turn presses the brake pads against the brake disc. When the brake lever is released, the pressure drops and the fluid flows back into the reservoir. The amount of force on the lever corresponds to a certain pressure on the brake fluid and this in turn affects the braking behavior. The master cylinder including lever can be found in our webshop. In some cases the master cylinder can be purchased separately. Make sure you have the correct diameter for optimal braking performance. The diameter can be indicated on the master cylinder in inches or mm.
