The Brake Disc Front is part of the braking system. It is mounted on the front wheel on the right side. When the brake lever is pressed, brake fluid is pushed by a piston from the reservoir through the brake lines to the caliper. The fluid then presses against the pistons in the caliper which in turn push the brake pads against the brake disc. The friction between the brake pads and the disc causes the motorcycle to brake. When the braking process is complete, the pressure drops and the brake pads come off the brake disc. The friction causes wear on the brake pads, but also on the brake disc. How quickly your brake disc wears depends on your braking behavior, which version of brake pads you use: organic or sintered, and how long you drive with worn-out brake pads. Often a minimum thickness is stated on the brake disc to indicate what is still safe to drive with. In our webshop, the minimum thickness, if available, is stated in the description. The second-hand brake discs are measured by us and the current thickness will also be stated.
